The National Association of Realtors® announced that Realtors® have received a charter to start up a federal credit union. The granting of the charter by the National Credit Union Administration culminates more than two years of planning by NAR members.
Realtor® officials and officials of NCUA finalized a letter of understanding and agreement that spells out the activities and management structure of the new organization, which is expected to open for business in mid-2009. The new entity, REALTORS� Federal Credit Union, will be totally separate from NAR, with its own board of directors and management team.....
FCBR Drop Date Approaching
Don't get left out in the cold! Be sure that your membership dues are paid in full. Final notices will soon be sent and your membership will be suspended if your billing isn't current per FCBR Bylaws requirements. We understand that money is tight this time of year, but we are working hard to make sure that your membership dollars are invested in a way that will enhance the REALTOR® climate in Ft. Collins during 2009.

FCBR Launches Blogger Team
As means to improve and defend the REALTOR� brand in Ft. Collins the FCBR has started the process of building a FCBR Blogger Team. The idea is to develope a network of FCBR members who are able produce positive blogs and to respond to stories and comments on local media websites that seek to harm the REALTOR� brand.
Blogging is so easy that anyone can do it. It can be done with annonimity and can help to shape the community's perception of issues and organizations. Those who wish to tarnish the reputation of our industry already have these blogger nextworks in place, so it is important that we work to counter those efforts.
